Due to work visa issues, regular TV work had been out of
Lynskey's reach. All this changed when she finally got her
green card.
She was doubly fortunate that it happened
just as the pilot
season for new TV shows commenced. Going
up for a few
possible projects, she struck gold when
she won a guest role
for the test pilot episode of 'Two-And-A-Half
Men'. When the
show was picked up by the CBS network,
Melanie's guest role
became more permanent, and her profile
was raised when the
show became the newest hit comedy, taking
over the position
that 'Friends' had vacated when it ended.
In 'Two-And-A-Half Men', she plays Rose,
the next door
neighbour of Charlie(played by Charlie
Sheen), who can't
accept that she and him are no longer
a couple. A constant
high rider in the US TV ratings, this
show could possibly do
for her in Hollywood what 'Friends' did
for A-List starlet
Jennifer Aniston.
