This is another of Lynskey's film projects that took a couple

of years to get released.  Filmed during 1998 in Europe, 'The

Cherry Orchard', based on Chekov's play, saw Melanie take

on the role of Dunyasha, amongst a cast of British, European

and American actors and actresses, such as Owen

Teale, Tushka Bergen, Xander Berkley and the late Katrin

Cartelidge & Alan Bates.

The most significant cast member for her at that time was

Andrew Howard, who was her boyfriend for 1998 and much of

1999.  In 2000, she worked again with Andrew and another co-

star Gerard Butler('The Phantom Of The Opera'), who played

the love interest of Mel's character, Dunyasha.
