In Hollywood terms,
Emily Deschanel is part of a new
bonifide movie dynasty.
Her sister, Zooey, is well on her way
to becoming an A-List
Young Hollywood starlet, her mother,
Mary Jo, is a seasoned
actress, and her father, Caleb, is a
critically-acclaimed,
Academy Award-nominated
cinematographer and
director.
Born in 1978 in Los Angeles, California, Emily
first graced
cinema screens with a small role in 'It Could
Happen To
You', in which she played an animal rights
protester that thr
ows some paint over somebody's fur coat. After
graduating
from Boston University's Professional Actor's
Training
Program, she started to build up a body of work, consisting of
a mixture of small, large & medium-sized
roles in stage, film
and television.
Recently, she has finally started to get the
same kind of
attention from Hollywood that was shown to
her younger
sister, Zooey, when she starred in movies
like 'Almost
Famous', 'Mumford' and 'All The Real Girls',
largely due to
films like 'Easy' and 'The Alamo'.
With the imminent release of 'Boogeyman',
in which she has
the female lead, Hollywood stardom can only
be a matter of
time for Emily.
