Deschanel Toplines Fox's 'Bones'

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Emily
Deschanel tops the cast of Fox's drama pilot "Bones." Deschanel will play a crime-solving forensic anthropologist, enlisted
in cases when other investigative avenues fail.
Deschanel appeared on big screens this year
in "Boogeyman." Her other credits include the 2002 miniseries "Rose Red."
FOX Finds Familiar Pilot Lead
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) FOX has taped up-and-coming young actress Emily Deschanel as the lead
in the drama pilot "Bones," heading an intense round of casting between FOX and ABC, with at least five shows and six actors
in play. Deschanel is set to play a forensic anthropologist in "Bones," which is based on the writings and
real life of Kathy Reich ("Deja Dead").
Daughter of cinematographer Caleb and sister of actress Zooey ("Almost Famous"), Deschanel can currently be
seen starring opposite Barry Watson in the big screen horror hit "Boogeyman." Her limited television appearances include spots
on "Providence"
and "Crossing Jordan."
